A Very Active 2024 for St. Hagop Mission Armenia!

St. Hagop’s “Mission Armenia” ministry continues its support of various worthy causes in Armenia, focusing on direct aid and faith-based projects. This year our support included providing relief to families of fallen heroes, injured and displaced people of Artsakh, Armenian church communities, education efforts and more.

17-year-old Burn Victim

17-year-old Nelson was one of the 300 injured at the catastrophic gas station explosion in Artsakh, with his military veteran Father and Uncle among the casualties, leaving Nelson as a sole surviving male of his family. Mission Armenia supported Nelson and his Mother during their stay at the Boston’s Shriners hospital as Nelson underwent major surgeries to reconstruct his hands and face. We continue to keep in touch with Nelson and family as they rebuild their lives.

Families of Fallen Soldiers
Supported families of Fallen Heroes to assist with household furnishings and supplies, medical assistance, psychological counseling and food through SOAR’s Tampa Bay Chapter.

AYO Program “Happy Camper” Project
Sponsored several children who are grieving, displaced or live in difficult circumstances to attend summer camp in beautiful, forested Hankavan for an unforgettable two-week experience.

St. Sargis Armenian Church
Provided direct support to the Pastor, his family and the Church’s faith-based programs for children of Stepanavan, Lori Region.

SOAR Christmas Campaign
Enabled centers for displaced Artsakh families in Yerevan and Vanadzor to hold a Christmas celebration and provided food packages and supplies to over 30 families and gifts to 80 children thanks to SOAR Tampa Bay Chapter, Suzanna Hovhannisyan’s leadership.

“Mission Armenia” continues to strive for low-overhead, direct beneficiary contact and aims to build long-term partnerships with projects its supports.
