John was born in Chelsea MA to Mary Tashjian and Mike Arsenault. After graduating Chelsea High, he went on to the University of Massachusetts to earn a BBA in Business Administration. John was recruited to work as a DOD civilian employee in AAFES, managing post exchanges and base exchanges for the next five years on military bases. He then worked for the Wm. Carter Co in Needham MA for 11 years, opening 66 outlet stores around the U.S. He left there as vice president and opened his own business. At age 47, he became a hair stylist and owned 5 hair salons named Hair’s Boston. John attended Holy Trinity in Cambridge, MA where he taught Sunday School classes. Susan and John were married at Holy Trinity in 1967 and have three children living in MA. John believes his business background would be helpful to St. Hagop’s.
