Martha Anne Garabedian

Martha-Anne was born of immigrant parents and raised in Massachusetts.  After graduating from Becker College with top honors and attending Clark University at night, she relocated to New York City to pursue a dream in the Big Apple.  Martha-Anne was successful in entering the technology sales industry.  Though a highly competitive market, Martha-Anne was a high achiever wining many awards because of her accomplishments.  She attended NYU at night to study computer programming followed by calling on law firms and financial institutions during the day to solve their technology problems.  Through the Armenian Students’ Association, she met and married her late husband Leo Kassabian where they attended services at St. Illuminator’s Armenian Cathedral on 27th Street and St. Vartan’s in NYC.  Another life-changing move happened in 1992.  Martha-Anne & Leo relocated to sunny Clearwater, FL, because of its beautiful beaches and proximity to St. Hagop Armenian Church.  As active parishioners, they fondly remember the early days.  Though not yet with a physical church, they felt privileged to see the church and the hall built and watched the community grow. With a well-deserved retirement mentality, Martha-Anne attended St. Petersburg College, as well as attending watercolor painting classes while Leo enjoyed the sun and surf.  They continued to travel including many Florida locations as well as art museums, theatre programs, concerts and sporting events around the State.  After a hiatus of ten years, Martha-Anne was encouraged by Leo to apply for her real estate license.  In 2003, she was actively engaged in listing and selling beach-front condos and still holds her license.
