Mike has served two terms on parish council and as parish council chairman for two years. He has been a leader in the construction of our church hall, in overseeing hall rental and staffing, and has led the St. Hagop pledge stewardship initiative. He earned a doctorate in psychology and, along with a license to practice psychology, holds several board certifications. He founded Career Consultants of America, a private practice providing career development and vocational rehabilitation services, in 1986; he continues to serve as its president. His other relevant leadership experiences have included serving as Sr. Warden of an Episcopal church, chairman of the board of a large chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and president of the 10,000-member National Career Development Association. Two Florida governors (Lawton Chiles and Jeb Bush) appointed him to the Florida Rehabilitation Council, a board that advises the governor on matters pertaining to vocational rehabilitation. Mike has also served on numerous professional editorial boards, and presented at national and international conferences. He has authored 11 books and approximately 70 professional articles and book chapters. Mike and his family have been members of St. Hagop’s since the late 1980s.
