Rev. Fr. Nersess Jebejian was born in Aleppo, Syria, on December 17, 1934. Upon his arrival in the United States, he studied at the Episcopal Theological Seminary and received a bachelor’s degree in 1958, a master’s degree in 1961, and a diploma in Ecumenical Science in 1966. Fr. Nersess was ordained to the holy priesthood by Archbishop Tiran Nersoyan in October 1969, at the Holy Cross Church of New York, NY.

Fr. Nersess served St. Hagop Church from 2000 to 2006 and helped set the groundwork for building a permanent parish community there.

Fr. Nersess and his wife, Aurora, are blessed with two children. Rena and the Very Rev. Fr. Aren Jebejian who serves as the pastor of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Chicago, IL.
